Elena Mustata, B. Sc. PT., MCPA, Registered Physiotherapist, Owner
Elena is a graduate of University of Toronto (2002) and Medical Doctor (Romania, 1991). She has been practicing physiotherapy for the past 15 years and acupuncture and dry needling over the past 10 years. Elena is certified with the Acupuncture Canada Institute (CAFCI, 2007). She is trained and successfully applies Dry Needling in pain management and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. Elena enjoys being a facilitator and teaching acupuncture to physiotherapists and massage therapists through the Meridian Health Education and APTEI (since 2011).
Elena is certified by Metriks (2009) as a Functional Capacity Evaluator. She also has extensive training and experience in office ergonomics, in-home and work-site assessments, and Functional Abilities Evaluations. Elena is an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Private practice and Acupuncture divisions, Ontario branch. As an executive in the Acupuncture Division, her role focuses on Education and Research. She is excited to learn about further acupuncture training, read about new research and make educational opportunities readily available to CPA members.
Being trained as Level 2 manual therapist since 2005, Elena is augmenting her manual therapy practice by actively applying Mulligan techniques for neck, lower back, shoulder, elbow, headaches and sacro-iliac dysfunctions. She uses athletic and neuro-proprioceptive taping to decrease pain and increase mobility, stability and function as part of her active physiotherapy treatment.
She integrates Pilates method in postural retraining and core activation and strengthening in rehabilitation of orthopaedic patients with successful results.
By combining multiple skills in physiotherapy and acupuncture practice, Elena delivers excellent physiotherapy care to her clients, in GTA community and surrounding areas by optimizing their independence and active lifestyle.
 Alka Pandya, Registered Massage Therapist
Alka holds a Massage Therapy Diploma (2016). She has over 20 years of experience treating patients with different conditions as a physiotherapist in India and 3 years of experience as a physiotherapy assistant in Canada. Alka is a member of RMTAO (Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario) and is in good standing with College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
Alka specializes in Swedish, non-swedish and advanced techniques to manipulate soft tissues and joints in order to improve the physical health and emotional well being of her clients. Alka is comfortable with treating patients from all age groups from children to seniors and at any stage from acute to chronic. She is committed to upholding the highest professional standards and offers excellent quality services.
Postgraduate, Alka has gained experience in various areas, such as therapeutic massage, relaxation massage, pediatric massage, pregnancy massage, postpartum & pelvic floor massage, concussion Treatment , lymphatic drainage, remedial exercises, wax therapy, electrotherapy and Reiki.
Alka is interested in increasing her skills and knowledge in areas such as infant massage, TMJ massage, sports therapy, cupping, acupuncture and reflexology.

Billing
ProHealth Physiotherapy is a private practice and it is not covered by OHIP.
Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Massage Therapy are covered by:

- Motor Vehicle Accident Benefits (Car Insurance)
- Work Safety Insurance Board
Discounted rates may be provided, on a case-to-case basis, for seniors and students.
